Hi-Yield Aluminum Sulfate

Hi-Yield Aluminum Sulfate is used as a soil acidifier to correct undesirable alkaline soil and to make Hydrangea blooms blue. Before using Hi-Yield Aluminum Sulfate test your soil pH and if the pH is above 7.0 then this product will be effective in bringing the pH down towards 5.5 which is desirable for plants that require more acidic soils. Plants such as Hydrangeas (blue), Azaleas, Camellias, Rhododendrons, Gardenias, and Holly thrive in more acidic soils. With Hydrangeas remeber that Hi-Yield Aluminum Sulfate can turn white or pink blossoms to blue. Do not use Phosphate fertilizers with this product as the phosphate will make the Aluminum less available to plants.
